Michelangelo spent years in these quarries searching for material to carve his famous David, Pieta, and Prisoners, now situated in museums in Rome and Florence.

Exact replicas of Bertel Thorvaldsen's Christus and Twelve Apostles statues, commissioned for the LDS Rome Temple Visitor Center, were hewn onsite, and are now on display in the quarry's premier showroom.

Enjoy exclusive access to the marble workshops, and witness the process through which these famous sculptures were re-created.
